Getting crafty at home

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.

Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.

Alex Esguerra
My name is Alex, and I am an aviation addict. I love airplanes. I love to watch them flit about in the sky. I love to read about them in books and online. I love to work near them, work on them, fly them, talk about them, photograph them, you name it. If it involves aviation, I need to be involved. This love affair was born, as was I, in Charleston South Carolina. Many children gain and loose interest in various subjects rather quickly. This was not the case with me and airplanes. The boyish delight and glee I felt upon seeing my first airplane grew into a young adult's curiosity to know more about these wondrous machines, and eventually an insatiable passion for aviation, leading to the surety of which direction I needed to pursue in life. After moving around the United States quite a bit, my military father settled our family in the San Francisco Bay Area. Through dogged determination, padded with a bit of luck, and the incredible support of my family and friends, I was hired by San Francisco International Airport. I later became a pilot myself, which was, needless to say, a dream come true. The introduction of and huge strides in digital camera technology opened up a new avenue for me to explore aviation. I'd say most people see aviation as purely scientific. Logical, measured, precise, controlled. Certainly it is all of these things. But In addition, I see an artistic side as well. On occasion sublimely elegant and captivating, on others intensely dramatic. Always picturesque. In my opinion, the best way to share the artistic aesthetic that I see is through my aviation photography.
